From staff reports

COLONIAL PARK - With a Mid Penn Commonwealth Division sweep of Central Dauphin and State College on Wednesday, the Chambersburg girls cross country squad evened its record at 2-2.

The Trojans competely dominated, getting nine of the top 10 to beat the Little Lions 15-55 and CD by the same score.

On the boys side, Chambersburg split, reigning victorious over State College, 24-31, but falling to the Rams, 24-38.

The top Trojan girls finisher was Courtney Group, who clocked in at 20:28 - a full 30 seconds before anyone else. The Nos. 3 and 5 runners for Chambersburg - Alex Orr, Megan Reel and Carolyn Dann - were separated by just three seconds, which pleased coach Chris Monheim.

"We were thrilled that our one through five gap was the smallest it's been all season," Monheim said. "It definitely felt nice to pick up two victories."

Monheim said he was especially happy with the performance of Ally Neidigh, who finished fifth overall in 21:42. It was her best race of the season.

"I was pleased with Ally Neidigh," Monheim said. "I put the pressure on her, and she really got the job done."

Chambersburg boys coach John Ambrosio said, "I was happy to pick up a win versus State College, which is a storied program in the area. And the CD coach said it was the best team he's had since 1994, so the loss to them is nothing to be disappointed in."

The Trojans' Danny Klink was the overall winner, finishing in 17:07. Grant Frey also placed in the top 10 for
