The Oley Valley High School baseball team is 2-0 in the Berks League and 3-3 overall after winning three of four games last week.

After losing to Berks Catholic, 4-0, Oley came back on March 28 with a 5-4 victory over Wyomissing. Ryan Krall's RBI single in the fifth inning gave the Lynx the go-ahead run.

Nick Distasio had a pair of hits for Oley and Tyler Wentzel drove in a run and scored two to lead the Oley Valley offense.

The Lynx had an easier time of things on March 31 when they crushed host Schuylkill Valley, 15-1. Distasio had another big game, getting three hits, scoring three runs and driving in two. Damian Mace chipped in with two hits and two RBIs.

The game was stopped after five innings due to the mercy rule.

On April 3, Oley and Kutztown locked up in a pitcher's duel. But Joe MacDonald singled home Tyler Wentzel in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Oley the 1-0 victory.

Distasio was the winning pitcher, fanning 12 Kutztown batters.
