The Boyertown Area High School softball team split a pair of games last week. The Lady Bears are 4-1 in the PAC-10.

On April 1, the Lady Bears traveled to Royersford to take on the defending league champion Spring-Ford. Boyertown took a quick 1-0 lead in the top of the first, but a three-run third inning was all the Rams would need to defeat the Bears, 3-1.

Elie Goida had two hits in the game, and scored Boyertown's first run on a Vicki Schlott double. Amanda Loar drove in the other Boyertown run on a sacrifice fly.

Mandy Kalil took the mound loss, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks.

The Bears rebounded on April 1 with a 15-0 victory over Pottstown. Haven Kelley and Lauren Waller combined to pitch a no-hitter for Boyertown. Helley struck out eight in her three innings of work. The game was stopped after four due to the mercy rule.

The Lady Bears knocked out 15 hits in the game, including four from Maddie Rutkowski who drove in four runs and scored two. Maddie Cotellese chipped in with two hits, three runs scored and one RBI, while Loar had two hits, four runs scored and one RBI.
