The Kutztown Area High School boys' tennis team improved to 2-0 in the Berks League and 6-0 overall after winning a pair of matches last week.

On March 27, the Cougars blanked Tulpehocken, 7-0.

Winning in singles competition were: Nick Volk, 6-1, 6-1; Kirby Sibiski, 6-0, 6-1; Tucker Landis, 6-0, 6-0; Liam Baldrige, 6-2, 6-0; Keaton McCoach, 6-1, 6-2.

Also winning for Kutztown was the doubles team of Skylar Fussner and Freddie Short, 10-4; and Scott Entriken and Conner Mertz, 10-2.

On April 1, the Cougars downed Fleetwood, 6-1.

Winning in singles competition for Kutztown were: Landis, 3-6, 7-5, 10-8; Sibiski, 6-0, 7-5; Fussner, 6-2, 6-2; Freddy Short, 6-2, 6-0.

Winning in doubles competition were: Fussner and Short, 10-1; Entriken and Mertz, 10-5.
