The Boyertown Area High School boys' basketball team fell to 1-2 in the PAC-10 and 1-4 overall after losing a pair of games last week.

The Bears began the week with a PAC-10 battle at Methacton. A slow start hurt the locals as Methacton defeated the Bears, 49-39.

Methacton jumped out to a 15-9 lead after one quarter, then increased the advantage to 10 by halftime. Methacton pretty much sewed the game up in the third quarter when its outscored the Bears, 16-10.

Ryan Corcoran led the Boyertown offense with 20 points in the contest. Tyler Bauman helped the cause with six points, while Kyle Dennin had five and Colton Moyer added four.

On Dec. 23, the Bears were back home for a non-league game against Wilson. The Bulldogs took awhile to get going, but once they did, the Bears had a hard time stopping them. Wilson won the game, 62-38.

Boyertown held a 10-8 lead after one quarter, but Wilson came back to take a 26-19 halftime lead. The Bulldogs then took off in the second half, outscoring the Bears in the third quarter, 18-8, and the fourth, 18-11.

Bauman was the high scorer for Boyertown with 12 points in the contest. Dennin netted eight points while Ben Longacre and Kevin McAteer each scored seven points.
