The Snyder sisters continue to have an amazing season as a doubles pair on the Exeter High School girls tennis team. After winning the Berks County Flight One Doubles Tournament earlier this month, Ali and Sammi Snyder captured the District 3-AAA Doubles Tournament held at the Hershey Raquet Club and concluded on Oct. 19.

In the championship match, Ali and Sammi (the top seed in the tournament), defeated the second season pair of Emily Mann and Emily Murphy of Manheim Township, 6-4, 6-2.

The victory earns the sisters a spot in the PIAA Tournament that Tournament will take place Nov. 1 and 2 in Hershey. They will open against Kirsten Adamson and Alaina Anand of DuBois High School, the District 9 champions.

The district tournament began on Oct. 18 with Ali and Sammi defeating Usha Baublitz and Jolie Zinn of Cedar Crest in the first round, 2-6, 6-4, 6-2.

The victory sent the sisters to the quarterfinals where they topped Julia Sternberg and Lauren McNair of Central Dauphin, 6-2, 6-0.

In the semifinals, the Snyders downed Sophie Iosue and Jessy Miller of Manheim Central, 6-3, 6-0, before defeating the Manheim Township duo in the championship match.
