DILLSBURG -- The Chambersburg wrestling team racked up bonus points in all eight bouts it won and it was the difference in a convincing 45-24 Mid Penn Colonial Division victory over Northern on Thursday night.

Leading 21-14, the Trojans (6-2, 4-2 MPC) got lightning-quick pins from Jimmy Hughes (125), Alex Duke (135) and Chase Wenger (140) to lock up the win.

"Tonight was very much a team match. This is probably the best dual we've wrestled this year," Trojan coach Doug Rine said. "Against their hammers, the two Ross kids, we got major decisioned but didn't give up pins. We only got pinned once all night. They had some nice kids in their lineup, but we wrestled up against their tougher kids and didn't give up bonus points."

Meanwhile, Chambersburg was busy piling them up.

Dawson Peck (215) and Irving Lambert (160) also won by fall, Colten Arnold (112) took a forfeit, Tanner Shoap (103) won by tech fall and Ean Starr (189) scored a major decision.

"When Jimmy, Alex and Chase got those back-to-back pins, that wrapped up the match," Rine said. "We scored 18 points there after leading 21-14. And in between Ian Hammond (130) wrestled their stud to a 6-5 loss. Then, bang-bang the match was over."
