For more than 20 years now after winning a major championship, big-time sports figures have uttered the phrase, "I'm going to Disney World!"

After helping York Tech softball reach historic heights, Adrian McLane got to actually go to the "happiest place on Earth."

When we caught up with the York Daily Record/Sunday News Softball Div. IV Player of the Year -- who hit a team-high .411 with four doubles and a triple -- she was coming home from a very special family trip to Disney World.

The senior's pitching (4-4, 3.34 ERA) and defense helped the Spartans capture the schools first female division championship.

What's the most interesting vacation you've ever taken?

Probably the one we're on our way home from now. We were at Disney World in Florida. My sister, Hannah, got granted her wish through Make-A-Wish, and we got to go down there. We loved it and are just worn out right now.

What was your favorite ride at Disney World?

I'm not really a ride person, and I don't really know what it was called, but you get in this tube thing and you went underneath waterfalls. It was like a white-water rafting ride.

What was your favorite park at Disney?

Universal, because they have a lot of 3D stuff.

Name one place you'd love to go during your lifetime.

Alaska, because I want to see a moose.

A Spartan sword instead of a Spartan head.

If your sport wasn't offered, what other spring sport would you have played?

None.

What sport are you the absolute worst at?

Track, because I hate running.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be?

Flying.

What's your favorite ice cream flavor?

Butter Pecan.

What's your favorite ice cream topping?

Reese's hard shell.

What are three items you'd take on a deserted island?

Bathing suit, cell phone and food.

Did you have a nickname growing up? If so, how'd you get it?

Nay Nan. When I was little, my cousin couldn't pronounce my name right, and that's what she said. Now, my whole family still calls me it today.

What is your favorite TV show?

Two and a Half Men.

Favorite music to drive to?

Oldies. Loretta Lynn is my favorite singer.

What was your favorite thing to do at elementary school recess?

Swing.

What was your favorite subject in school?

I was always pretty good with math.

Who's the toughest opponent you faced this season?

Hanover.

Have you lived in York County your whole life and, if not, where are you from?

Yes.

Favorite fast food restaurant?

Hardee's.

Are you a clean bedroom person or a messy bedroom person? What would be the first thing that someone would notices upon entering your bedroom?

I'm the only one in the house that has a clean bedroom. The painting on the wall is probably the first thing that someone would notice.

Do you have a part-time job and, if so, what is it?

Yeah, I help out at Cross Creek Farm. It's a flower nursery.

Favorite thing about summer?

Swimming.
