Gettysburg High's girls tennis team held a lead after singles play, but both New Oxford doubles pairs came through for the Lady Colonials to secure a 4-3 victory Monday at New Oxford.

Kim Wilke and Kathleen Pierce beat Morgan Soliday and Samantha Wright, 8-7. Wilke and Peirce won the tiebreaker, 6-4.

The tiebreaker was the deciding match and gave the Lady Colonials (5-5) their fourth comeback victory of the season.

Wilke and Pierce also won thier repsective singles matches. Wilke has won four of her last five matches this season.

Samantha Wright, Kylie Wright and Samantha Markey all won singles matches for the Lady Warriors (3-8).

WEST YORK 7, SPRING GROVE 0: At West York, Mary Shaw was the first Rockette to win a game from West York and Chelsea Young won a team-best three games.

The duo of Ashley Hively and Sarah Weist gave Alex Meyer and Rachel Clineburg a run before falling, 8-6.

Spring Grove is 2-8.
