Boys' Golfer of the Year
Isaiah Logue, Fairfield: A senior, Logue won his second consecutive PIAA Class AA championship after posting a league low 68 average in the regular season. He placed third in the YAIAA championship, won the District 3 Class AA tournament and took fourth finish at regionals, capping a his senior season with the state title.
Coach John Ridge said the Green Knights will miss "everything" about Logue's presence on the team.
"He used to ride his bike to watch us practice when he was in eighth grade," Ridge said. "As a freshman we knew we had something special. He took the program to a complete new level. He helped the team win the league title as a sophomore. Qualified for at least regionals every year.
"His work ethic, in just what he does on the course, younger players look up to and admire him. It'll be a pretty big void for us to fill next season."
Logue also won the York County Amateur Championship in July, finishing at 8-under 136 to win by five strokes at Grandview Golf Club.
Girls' Golfer of the Year
Lauren Parrini, York Catholic: In just her second season playing competitive golf, the junior took third in the District 3 Class AA tournament and seventh in the East Regional field to qualify for the PIAA tournament. Her regular season scoring average was 85.5.
"Her ball striking was better than ever this year," York Catholic coach Bill Brander said.
He said Parrini will continue to work on her swing and as she looks to improve on her 15th place finish in the PIAA tournament.
