SHIREMANSTOWN -- In the first meeting, Chambersburg lost to Trinity by a single point.

This time around, it wasn't as close, as the Shamrocks rode a strong first quarter to top the Trojans 53-33 on Tuesday night in a Mid Penn Commonwealth Division girls basketball game.

Trinity (14-4, 10-3 MPC) hopped in front 19-10 and didn't look back. Laura Murray led the Shamrocks with 13 points and Ashley Betz-White added 12.

Chambersburg (6-11, 4-9 MPC) struggled to take care of the ball with 26 turnovers.

The Trojans got 10 points from Brooklyn Shearer, while Jade Flory posted six points, two assists and eight steals and Jen Hamilton chipped in six points and six rebounds.
