Littlestown continued its undefeated season with Monday night's 49-22 victory over York County Tech.

The Thunderbolts set the tone early by scoring a touchdown on their first drive and then recovering a fumble on Tech's first offensive play when Stephaun Montouth lost the ball after a 41-yard run.

Penalties and turnovers plagued both teams in the first half. After a penalty and quarterback sack that left the Spartans on their own 12-yard line, York Tech fumbled and Littlestown recovered again. Dustin DeGroft ran it in from 10 yards out to give the Bolts a 21-6 lead.

After Tech as fumbled the ensuing kickoff return, hope seemed dim. But Brock Rivera gave the Spartans a spark with an interception on the Thunderbolts' next play.

Montouth ran for a 44-yard touchdown and Calvin Savary took in the two-point conversion to help the Spartans close to within 21-14.

During the next kickoff, it was the Bolts who fumbled and lost the ball. However, York County Tech was unable to score despite driving into the red-zone.

Littlestown added two more touchdowns before halftime to regain dominance, and it carried the momentum through the second half.

York Tech relied almost entirely on its running game, attempting to throw the ball only three times. Savary, Montouth and quarterback Dalmar Dickson led the charge for the Trojans, collectively earning 299 of York Tech's 316 running yards.

Littlestown varied its offense, with DeGroft (127 yards rushing) and L.J. Miles (83) leading the running game and scoring two touchdowns apiece. Quarterback Trevor Hildebrand rushed for a touchdown and finished with 174 yards passing. Lucas Reynolds also threw a 42-yard touchdown pass to Austin Towner.

Littlestown head coach Mike Lippy stated he was trying to work on some new things, knowing his team could run the ball well. He was still surprised to hear that Hildebrand had attempted 28 passes, commenting it was a number his team hadn't reached yet this year.

Despite the win, Lippy said the Bolts (7-0, 6-0 YAIAA Division III) have some room for improvement.

"A win is a win, but we still need to critique our game. I am disappointed with the number of turnovers and penalties. We can't afford to do that in games coming up," he said.

York Tech (1-6, 1-5) head coach Matt Glennon said he was pleased that his team showed resilience by continuing to play hard throughout the game despite being behind on scoreboard.

"I told my team during halftime not to be down," Glennon said.

Glennon was also pleased to see his offense effectively move the ball. The Spartans managed 315 yards of offense but gave up 497 to the Thunderbolts.
