The Daily Record/Sunday News has unveiled its 2009 Division C boys' track and field athletes.


ATHLETE OF THE YEAR


   Brett Warner, Bermudian Springs: The sophomore hurdled his way through the postseason, collecting medals at all levels in the 110-meter hurdles.

Warner finished second in the YAIAA championships (15.05), second at the District 3 Class AA meet (15.34) and eighth at the state championships (15.25).

He was also competitive in the 300-meter hurdles, finishing fourth at the league championships and fifth at districts with a time of 40.87.
 

ALL-STARS


   T.J. Baust, Littlestown: The senior was dangerous on the track and in the field, following up a fifth-place finish in the long jump at the YAIAA championships with a sixth-place district medal. Baust also placed sixth in the 100 meters at the league championships with a time of 11.34.
   Kevin Brady, Delone Catholic: The senior excelled in the pole vault and swept through the postseason meets. The senior's vault of 12 feet, 9 inches won him a YAIAA title, and he took third-place in District 3 Class AA. Brady finished his high school career tied for 17th place at the PIAA championships.
   Preston Green, Bermudian Springs: The senior finished third in the 300-meter hurdles at the YAIAA championships, while helping his Eagle

teammates to a fourth-place finish at the same meet in the 1,600 relay.
   Corey Kauffman, Delone Catholic: Kauffman followed up a fourth-place finish in the javelin at the YAIAA championships with an eight-place finish at the District 3 Class AA championships with a throw of 150-7.
   Jeisson Lloret, Bermudian Springs: The junior finished third in the 200 dash at the YAIAA championships and followed that up with a fifth-place finish at the District 3 Class AA Championships a week later with a time of 23.79. His fastest time in the event came at the Fairfield Invitational where he finished in 22.6. He also collected a fifth-place medal at the district meet in the long jump.
   Chris Sauvageau, Delone Catholic: With two years remaining in his high school career, the sophomore has already set the bar high, finishing fourth in the 1,600 at the District 3 Class AA championships, just missing states with a time of 4:33.97. His best run of the season came at the YAIAA championships where he finished fourth in 4:28.8.
   Jordan Selfe, Bermudian Springs: Selfe took home two medals at the league tournament, a fifth-place finish in the 400 (51.90) and a fourth-place medal in the 1,600 relay.
   Josh Small, Hanover: The senior soared to a ninth-place finish in the long jump at the District 3 Class AA championships with a distance of 20-3. He was also a district qualifier in the 100.
   Mike Wagner, Biglerville: The senior sprinter was a district qualifier in the 200 and was part of the Canners' 400 relay team that finished in ninth place at the District 3 Class AA Championships with a time of 45.19.
   Matt Webb, York Catholic: The Irish senior followed up a second-place finish in the 200 at the league championships with a bronze medal in the District 3 Class AA Championships, where he finished with a time of 23.30.
   Ryan Wickline, Littlestown: Wickline qualified for the District 3 Class AA championships where he collected season-best times in the 200 (23.72) and 400 (51.51).
 

COACH OF THE YEAR


   Chris King, Bermudian Springs: King led a cast of track and field stars to a bucket of county and district medals and an undefeated season, winning the Division C crown with a 7-0 league record.
