At No. 4 singles, Newell DeFreest won the second set 6-3 but fell in a tough third set 6-4 to the Mustangs' Lauren Duffy ... Trojan coach Gary Hocker said, "South Western has a very talented and deep team. They came in already winning seven matches and played like it today. At No. 4 singles, it was a very long and close match and out of all those games, Duffy only won by one more game. And our No. 3 doubles team played very well with newcomer Justin Lombardozzi getting his first varsity win."
