NEW KINGSTOWN -- Chambersburg endured mixed results at the Mid Penn Class AAA Swimming Championshps on Friday at Cumberland Valley High School.

The Trojans claimed sixth place in boys action while the Trojans girls finished ninth in the team standings.

"I thought the boys did an outstanding job today, especially considering the interruption in training for the snow days," Chambersburg coach Mark Shoap said. "Our our 29 swims, 25 came in with their best times of the season.

"Logan Haga had a real nice backstroke and Chase Wennick had a great meet. The relays were all fast."

In the boys meet, the Trojans placed a pair of relays in the top six and had a good showing in the 100 breaststroke.

Chambersburg's Bryton Zook placed fifth in 1:07.34 just ahead of teammate Jordan Metz, who finished in sixth (1:07.38).

The Trojan boys' 200 medley relay team grabbed third place with a time of 1:49.98. In addition, the Trojans finished sixth in the 400 freestyle relay (3:34.57).
